Still Standing: A Legacy of Faith
St. Mark Baptist Church was founded in 1944 by a group of dedicated Christians with a vision to establish a welcoming place where all people could gather to worship God, grow in faith, and experience Christian fellowship. From those humble beginnings, St. Mark has grown into a vibrant and loving church community committed to serving our members, our neighbors, and the greater Long Beach community.
Through generations of worship, ministry, outreach, and service, God has continued to sustain and guide our congregation. Today, we joyfully celebrate more than 80 years of God’s faithfulness, honoring the legacy of those who came before us while looking forward with faith and expectation to all that God has yet in store for St. Mark Baptist Church.

Why 1 Chronicles 12:32?
Like the sons of Issachar, we desire to understand the times, discern God’s direction, and faithfully follow His plan. This scripture reminds us to remain spiritually aware, responsive to God, and ready to serve His purpose in our generation.
